Dame Okowa, Sinebe, Ebie To Grace PDE Conference In Asaba

The Delta State Commissioner for Higher Education, Engr. Jude Sinebe will on Tuesday, May 10 2016 preside over the opening ceremony of the second National Academic Conference organized by the Directorate of Professional Diploma in Education (PDE), Federal College of Education, Technical, Asaba.

The conference holding at the Business Auditorium in the Permanent Site of the institution, along Asaba-Ibusa road, has as its theme “Education in Nigeria; Bridging the Gap Between the Teacher, the Learner and Reality”.

A statement by the Chairman, Local Organizing Committee, Mrs. Chika Enueme says the conference scheduled for Monday, May 9 to Friday, May 13, 2016 has the wife of the state Governor, Dame Edith Okowa, as the distinguished guest of honour, the state Commissioner, Basic and Secondary Education, Barr. Chiedu Ebie as the special guest of honour, while Dr. N.I. Ezoem is the chief host.

The statement added that a key note address will be delivered by Emeritus Professor Pai Obanya of the Institute of Education, University of Ibadan, while the lead paper will be presented by Professor Uche Emetarom of Abia State University, Uturu, Abia State.
The conference according to the statement will feature workshop sessions aimed at improving the relationship between school administrators, teachers and learners for enhanced productivity.
